Meghanlata Gupta is a junior at Yale University from the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Her work centers broadly on the indigenization of educational spaces, advocating for Indigenous communities and contemporary issues, and working with Native nations to strengthen and protect traditional lands and practices. At Yale, she is a Mellon Mays Bouchet Undergraduate Fellow with a major in Ethnicity, Race, and Migration. She is also involved with the Association of Native Americans at Yale, Ucross High Plains Stewardship Initiative at Yale, FOCUS on New Haven, and the Northern Rockies Conservation Cooperative.
Meghanlata is the founder and editor-in-chief of Indigenizing the News, a curated news source dedicated to educating non-Native allies in Native nations, cultures, issues, and knowledge systems.
